Giant puppets to join MassKara 2012 celebration

The School of Architecture, Fine Arts and Interior Design (ARFIEN) of the La Consolacion College, Bacolod City, Philippines once again will show the skills and talents of their students who created the 73 giant puppets to be paraded in the streets of the city during the MassKara Festival 2012.

A press conference was held last October 4 and among those present were Bacolod City Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, LCC VP for Finance Sr. Jennifer Dela Cruz, LCC ARFIEN Dean Architect Rialino "Butch" Alisbo, and Fine Arts Head Dr. Antonio "Tony" Tejado.

The giant puppets are on exhibit now at the main lobby of the school which started last October 6 and will end till October 21. The exhibit is open for free to the public from 8am until 8pm. Architect Rialino Alisbo, the Dean of ARFIEN, reportedly said that the puppets will be having a parade on October 15 at 3pm starting from the Provincial Capitol Lagoon to the Public Plaza and on the first night of the Electric MassKara on October 19 along the Tourism strip of Lacson Street.

The giant puppets will also join the street-dance competition in the Barangay category from Lupit Church (Sacred Heart Seminary)  to the public plaza and will perform as a non-competing entry on October 21. At 6pm on the same day, the puppets will join the parade at the Tourism strip.
